We hold only what you give us, we tell you what it is for, and you can take it back. Last updated 28 August 2026.
1Who we are
THE LIVE Summit (the “Event”) is organised by wwmasmedia, LLC (“we”, “us”, the “Organiser”). This notice explains what personal data we collect through wwthelive.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

2What we collect, and why
We only hold data you give us yourself. We do not read your email, your messages or your documents, and we do not buy behavioural profiles about you.
- Newsletter and announcements: your email address, and your name if you give it. Purpose: to send event announcements. Legal basis: your consent.
- Ticket purchase: name, email, company and the details Stripe needs to take the payment. Purpose: to sell and confirm your pass and to meet our accounting obligations. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for invoicing records.
- Applications (Family Office access, speaking, media, partnership, contact forms): the details you enter in the form. Purpose: to review the application and reply to you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in curating the guest list.
- Attendee matching, where offered: the profile you choose to complete before the Event. Purpose: to suggest people worth meeting in Barcelona. Legal basis: your explicit consent, given separately. You can decline and still attend.
- Website analytics: pages viewed and how you reached the site, only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your details with sponsors or other attendees unless you ask us to, or unless you opt in to attendee matching.
3Cookies
Two kinds of cookies are used on this site:
- Essential: needed for the site to work, to remember your cookie choice and to complete a payment securely. These are always on and require no consent.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages people find useful. These load only after you press “Accept analytics”. Until then, and if you choose “Essential only”, Google stores nothing on your device.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
4Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of established suppliers, each under a data processing agreement:
- Stripe: card payments and invoicing.
- Brevo and our own Listmonk installation: sending announcements and campaign emails.
- Google Analytics: website statistics, only with your consent.
- Cal.com: booking calls with our team, if you choose to book one.
- Render and Amazon Web Services: hosting of the website and the database.
Some of these suppliers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5How long we keep it
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the footer of every email.
- Applications that do not lead to attendance: 24 months, so we can recognise you if you apply again.
- Attendee and purchase records: for the period required by tax and accounting law, normally six years.
- Attendee matching profiles: deleted within 90 days after the Event unless you ask us to keep them for the next edition.
- Analytics: 14 months.
6Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- Give you a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
- Restrict or object to a particular use, including profiling for attendee matching.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw a consent you have given, without affecting what was lawful before you withdrew it.
Write to hello@wwthelive.com and we will act on it. If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
7Security and changes
Access to attendee data is limited to the people on our team who need it, and our systems sit behind individual accounts and encrypted connections. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people without delay if a breach is likely to put them at risk.
If this notice changes materially, we will publish the new version here and note the date below.
